Two compounds studied against mitochondrial endpoints by different mechanisms. SS-31 is a tetrapeptide investigated for its association with cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane. MOTS-c is a mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded in the 12S rRNA region and studied in cellular metabolism research.
